APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS A completed application form. Available here: Application Form (pdf format) ; A copy of the undergraduate degree (diploma); if you are still a student at the point of application, you should bring an official letter indicating your expected graduation date; An official undergraduate transcript; Official LES, ALES, or GRE results. Minimum required scores are: LES (The Entrance Examination for Graduate Studies): 45 (“equal-weight”); ALES (The Entrance Examination for Academic Personnel and Graduate Studies): 55 (“equal-weight”); GRE (Graduate Record Examination): 610 (quantitative) (f or information on how to take GRE in İstanbul, visit http://www.bilmerk.com ) Based on previous applications and admission decisions, for LES a score of 55 or higher; for ALES 70 or higher; and for GRE 685 or higher are recommended. Please note that the expiration date for the LES, ALES and the GRE scores should be after the date you are officially admitted to the program. Proof of English proficiency. Minumum required scores are: A passing grade of 60 from the Boğaziçi University English Proficiency Test (BUEPT); or A minimum of 213 points on the computer-based TOEFL; or 550 on the paper-based TOEFL together with 4.5 on the written part; or A minimum of 79 points on the IBT TOEFL together with 24 on its written section; or A minimum average score of 7 from the ELTS exam.

Note that the refresher course in mathematics must be followed and a “Pass” grade must be received. On the other hand, there will be a waiver exam on August 14, Thursday, 2008, where applicants with sufficient background in mathematics can obtain exemption from the refresher course.
There is a non-refundable fee requirement for the preregistration, which will be deducted from the total tuition amount.
International students should obtain a “student visa” in order to be able to study in Turkey . They should therefore contact the Turkish Consulate near their place of residence.
